April 16th 2025 I'm Lauren and I'm Skyler today is an A Day With periods 1 through 4 today's lunch is hamburger Curry green salad with cucumbers fruit juice pineapple chunks and a whole grain roll rope breakfast burrito salsa pineapple chunks and fresh fruit just a reminder Mr dens period 3 class has lunch duty today a total of 6 students must report to the cafeteria 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the Lunch Period finder to participate in the commencement on May 23rd 20 25 you must 1 complete all academic requirements for a diploma or certificate by May 16th at 4:00 p.m. see your counselor for credit evaluation failing or required course means no participation that you can still earn your diploma later 2 have completed the student personal transition plan PTP by December 13th 2024 contacting counselor if you're unsure 3 meet the 95% State attendance requirement no more than 40 unexcused absences excused substances require a parent Guardian to email the attendance Clerk or send a note within 3 days monitor attendance and Infinite Campus 4 pay all Financial Obligations textbooks library books athletic gear fabulous and restitution and lunch balance by 2 say May 13th 2025 at 4:00 p.m. check balances in the third quarter report card or call the front office 5 during the fourth quarter avoid committing 1 Class A or B offense or receiving 1 suspension for a class C or D offense 6 during the fourth quarter avoid committing 2 Class C or D offenses failure to meet any of these expectations will result in the revocation of the privileged to participate in the commencement ceremony attention all teachers and students tonight April 16th the Kawaii high school music department will present their annual spring concert at the koi war memorial convention hall at 6:30 admission is free come and see the Jazz Band chorus ukulele and concert band play Classics from Canon the time after time and the theme from Jaws turn in an AP agreement form to the teacher listed to women registered for an AP course for school year 25 to 26 there will be no extensions to this deadline again Thursday April 17th please turn in your AP agreements to be able to take an AP course next school year attention all teachers and students the food pantry District distribution will be open this Thursday April 17th during morning recess in I35 Corey during lunch cash only the shirts address it and we'll have sizes ranging from youth large adult 4XL the shirt pickup day will be announced at a later date you'll get a ticket for paying please make sure to bring the ticket on the announcement pick up date we welcome family members into buying shirts if they want to support the class of 2026 thank you attention all seniors we have senior song practice tomorrow Thursday April 17th it will take place during advisory in the new gym we will be practicing the the song Rocketeer thank you attention all seniors senior law forms are available for pickup in the upstairs library and main office admission is 33.00 per person each student is allowed to bring 1 to 2 family members as their guest payments will be collected in the East Courtyard during lunch starting today Wednesday April 16th to Wednesday April 23rd all obligations must be cleared prior to payment please complete all forms provided including a copy of your driver's license and insurance if you are driving thank you attention all students tomorrow April 17th the kindness on Kawaii event will take place in the East Courtyard at lunch join us on Thursday to spread Aloha and participate in a positivity activity 5 to 2026 you may pick up a form and make a payment in main office during non-instructional Time Early Bird collection payments must be received by April 30th 2025 no late payments Mrs Tava with any questions what does it mean to be real some say it happens over time others say it takes love but for 1 little rabbit it All Began on a starry night when a boy received a present wrapped in ribbon and filled with possibility inside was a rabbit soft and still but when the boy picked him up his eyes sparked with life he loved the boy in that instant as the boy hugged him tight the rabbit knew he belonged as the clock ticked on and the boy let out a sleepy yawn he placed the rabbit gently on the floor gave him a soft pat on the head and hurried off to get ready for bed then a bell Echoes through the room the toy stirred some watched with quiet Envy the rabbit was new and already well well another fuzzy face who thinks he's real that's not true he may not be worn but he's already been loved that's more than most the Skin Horse had lived in the playroom for a very a long time his saddle was worn through with holes his tail pulled thin and Tangled but he was wise soft-spoken they only say that because they want to be real but they're scared they never will be being real it isn't about how you look or What You're Made Of it happens when someone truly loves you not just for a little while but for a long long time after the Skin Horse spoke the boy came in and picked up the rabbit holding him close as he can him to bed the rabbit thought about the conversation he had with the Skin Horse and quietly wondered would he ever be real to the boy each day the boy and the rabbit went on wonderful adventures Flying high in the sky traveling to different islands and going to the Moon he played and played seasons of laughter and days that seemed to never end but then the boy began to leave for longer and longer and their Adventures slowly began to fade the rabbit began to sit alone the days felt longer and the room much quieter until 1 day the boy returned but he was much older now as he picked up the rabbit he remembered all the adventures they once had as the boy held the rabbit something shifted did he let go and the rabbit fell down into a box and the Box kept going and going until there was nothing left rabbit stayed in the Box asking the same question over and over why did the boy go was I not real after all just when everything felt forgotten a light flashed from it a golden bigger reached out and gently picked him up it was a girl with kind eyes and gentle hands she held him the way the boy once did and in that moment the rabbit felt something he hadn't in a long long time he felt real and standing just behind her was the boy not quite a boy anymore but his eyes still full of something familiar he watched as the girl hugged the rabbit full of joy and in that moment the rabbit knew he had been loved once and now he was loved again these are your lessons for today have a fabulous day
